The company say:

Skymning was created as a manifestation of the sunset sky and its emotional effect on our lives. During a vast part of the year most parts of Sweden lacks sunlight due to grey cloudy skies. Intense colourful skies can therefore cause strong mixed emotions of awe and envy, pleasure and sadness. If this heartfelt phenomenon would be a fragrance, this would be it.

This is essentially a violet fragrance, but done very well. It reminds me of Lush’s Kerbside Violet, with violet as the main player supported by some powdery facets. It’s fairly linear—you get violet from start to finish—but it’s executed nicely. It doesn’t tip into being overly powdery or play-doughy; instead, it strikes a good balance.

I’m not the biggest fan of violet and haven’t explored too many violet-focused scents, but I can get behind this one. My partner thought it smelled like jujube candies, likely because of a faint sweetness, though it doesn’t feel like there’s extra sugar added. Compared to Kerbside Violet, this seems a little less powdery, though still centered firmly on violet. I get maybe a touch of iris in the mix, but it’s mostly violet through and through.

It’s wearable year-round, but especially suited to fall and spring. Completely unisex, though violet can sometimes lean slightly feminine. Overall, it’s worth a sample—especially if you’re curious about violet done right.

A fairly linear scent. Powdery dry, slightly green iris and green violet. No sweetness at all here. Not what I expected from the note list. Perhaps I was sent the wrong sample.

Not sure what to make of this - it's too bitter to my nose.
