Anyone ever owned or smelled its "sequel" (if I may say so), Storm 2, from around 1988; and who will be able to tell us a bit more about it, how it smelled like, which perfume it was the closest to ... (etc.) ??
It would be interesting to know; 'cause Storm 2 is even more rare than the original Storm
Thanks to anyone who would be able to do so

This obscurity was produced by Elida Gibbs (of early Axe fame) and/or Fabergé, depending on where, I suppose. It's not even clear what gender it was marketed to, not that this necessarily matters, either. It is, however, one of the more ravishing eaux fraîche that I've encountered. What I discern is an opening of lemon, lime and perhaps petitgrain which seamlessly eases into a floral heart of jasmine, lavender, and geranium with some herbal flourishes. Far from byzantine, it's legible simplicity soothes my  palate on this humid July day. It feels like the unhurried summertime, "the hissing of summer lawns," under the canopy of maple trees that flicker with filtered sunlight, the occasional repose that a breeze from the nearby shore gives to one's weary body.

It dries grassy, soft muted vetiver and moss, a whisper of chypre from a touch of labdanum. Is this essential? Never anymore do I claim anything is essential. Besides, this seems painfully scarce and I found a good deal on the atomizer version. I sprung for it mostly due to my attraction to yet another Serge Mansau-designed bottle with that gorgeous pebbled texture on the perimeter, but it was worth the blind buy. As always, your mileage may vary, and I certainly wouldn't pay the usual going prices for the many splash bottle versions sitting around for sale. That aside, it's a lovely addition to the library.
