Smokey citrus on the top.
Top and middle notes flow and blend together very well. I don't know why but, this fragrance smells like paper to me.; like a new book's pages. It is a bit astringent, as well. It's intoxicating!
Eventually fades to a pale musk and sandalwood aroma.

I give this one four stars.

This is an excellent barbershop fragrance. The opening reminds me of Penhaligon's Castile, witht the sweet citruses. Then it transforms into spicy lime. During the drydown the florals take lead and the fragrance ends up being something similar to Tabac Original but dryer , greener and less sweet.
This is an exceptional quality amongst today's offerings. Exceptional projection and longevity. The fragrance stays strongly present on me for the whole day.
Fresh, green, floral barbershop scent. Packaging is also very high quality, perfect decoration items for barbers and enthusiasts.
This is when a brand puts effort in making and selling a product. I appreciate it a lot in today's world. 10/10 fragrance.

This is my personal favourite from the Captain Fawcett range. The green bottle with silver embossed label makes a nod to that classic of the 1960's, Faberge's Brut. Like Brut, the fragrance also has a green quality about it, potentially conveying the wind-in-the- hair feeling associated with motorbikes.

A green quality is also displayed by Alessandre di Manfredini, another of Fawcett's offerings, but the green-ness of the latter is more in the direction of fig leaf.

For a rich spicy experience (bay rum and sweet balsams) choose Booze and Baccy, or if you prefer something more discreet and unobtrusive try Barbarism. For me though, it's Triumphant with its fresh green note based on cassis.

The range is backed up by an entertaining banter directed at the leisured gentleman of a bygone era. All in all, a commendable collection of olfactory oddments, the exploration of which promises to be a delectable diversion for the fragrance connoisseur.
