Latest Reviews of Une Nuit à Doha
Stephane Humbert Lucas has done it again with this boozy tobacco gem. I get a dried fruit in this also. The way the vanilla is blended with the vetiver is amazing. Can't stop smelling my arm with this one. 8/10
Yet another evocative olfactive journey staged by master perfumer Stéphane Humbert Lucas!
Une Nuit a Dona is an oriental, semi-gourmand scent that receives healthy doses of immortelle flower (creamy caramel- and fenugreek-like accents), tobacco, and lovely vanilla. SHL pays homage to the capital city of Doha, Qatar; a lofty topic, but I believe that this scent fulfills his mission.
I really caught the crystallized mandarin orange, toasty fennel seed, and a general warmth that paints a picture of Qatar as an exotic locale full of commerce and sensory delight. UNaD smells distinctive, special, and full of life.
Big thumbs up for this Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 creation!

This fragrance is a lovely gem. Une Nuit a Doha is a gourmand that combines immortelle with sweet vanilla, spice and citrus. I can also smell some tobacco. It is very well blended and not offensive at all. Some gourmands tend to be a bit strong or sweet, sweet, sweet, not this fragrance. Longevity is very good 10-12 hrs.
A really nice gourmand. It kicks off with swirls of coconut-inflected rum and some odd leafy greens. These are all fairly quickly assimilated into the main smell of Doha, which I can probably best describe as an Angel-inspired vanilla/patchouli creme brulee with a hint of sweet milk, but taken out of copycat territory by a big upfront smell that I can best describe as brown sugar, but vaguely nutty.
It's quite nice and not nearly as sweet as you'd think. I usually dislike gourmands, because so many of them are just cheap marshmallow nightmares, but Doha is actually quite nice. Once the rum and greens fade into the brown sugar creme brulee, it doesn't really do much, but it smells good all day, so it earns a rare gourmand thumbs up from me!
