The company says:
Vanilla Vellichor is an ode to anyone who has spent many a happy hour with their noses buried in a book. The word "vellichor" is the term used to describe the feeling and aroma one experiences upon entering a used bookstore.
The sweet, musty, spicy vanilla like smell emanating from the leather bound pages of old books is intoxicating. In fact, the sweet aroma these books possess comes from the lignin in the wood based paper. As the pages of the book age, the paper increasingly emits a pleasant sweet vanilla aroma that inspires a wistful nostalgia.

Latest Reviews of Vanilla Vellichor
Definitely more masculine and leathery than vanilla vellum. Just like vanilla vellum it opens up with an astringent citrus note that quickly opens up into the tahitian and madagascar vanilla. After several minutes the more woody notes along with nutmeg become much more prominent, and they combine together with the vanilla. Not musky, definitely more woody and "spicy" almost. I can definitely see the imagery of antique books here. Gourmand but far away from sickly sweet.
