There's not much info about Révillon Vivace out there. Grace Hummel dates "Fleur Vivace" to 1958, but neither that name nor that date appears anywhere else I've seen. The only media mentions I can find are in La Presse, one from 1961 and another from 1965, both name-checking Vivace in pieces about Christmas gifts for women. (The latter implies Vivace is an Eau de Toilette, which the scant available evidence suggests is a journalistic error.) Yet, there's nothing gender-specific in the one Vivace ad I've seen, nor is there in the packaging; and, finally, not in the scent itself.

Instead, we have an "eau-mixte": citrus, heavy on the bergamot, with perhaps a smidge of lavender and some oakmoss fixative. It's a fine eau de cologne, of interest to those who (like me) love such things if at the right price. I haven't much more to say about it, because it's a simple thing in an established mold, but one can certainly do far worse in the style.
