Nautica (2018)

I actually quite like this. I’m not sure that it’s even an “aquatic”, but I think of it that way as it’s a Voyage flanker. It’s more barbershop green and woods than the OG Nautica Voyage’s apple and blue amber. I like them both, and for casual wear this is easy and has decent longevity on me. And I like the lavender and ginger combo over woods. It’s nothing mind-blowing, but you don’t need huge complexity or longevity for an afternoon of errands or after the gym. And for $20? A boon companion.

The opening is very clean, fresh and woody. There's a small bit of the sourness present that I associate with the original Voyage but it's not that noticeable.

The dry down is not great, just your basic blue, fresh, clean, woody everyday shower gel scent.

Performance is a letdown on me. Projection is weak and longevity only lasts 3-4 hours.
