Latest Reviews of White Diamonds Night
From the very start, White Diamond Night by Elizabeth Taylor announces that it is decidedly different than White Diamonds proper - i.e., with the fruity-citrus smack you initially get to a generally toned down, warmer vibe.
WDN has an added sensuality to it, thanks to the mix of exotic jasmine, freesia and patchouli. Whereas the original White Diamonds is quite old-school bright and powdery semi-fougere, WDN's unmistakable apricot nectar presence takes it in a younger, more contemporary fruity-floral-musk end.
Nothing spectacular nor groundbreaking (it didn't need to be, IMO); WDN is a rethink for a new generation of wearers, offering up an understated, dreamy White Diamonds flanker that could easily have been called "Black Diamonds", really.

My immediate impression was: take an Orange Julius, add patchouli and musk, and there you have it-- White Diamonds Night.
But an hour into it, the apricot replaces that orange, and slowly the jasmine emerges. Pretty, but too fruity sweet for me. Recommended if you wear peach/apricot notes well. Don't be put off by it if you're not fond of the original-- this is miles away from that.

This released recently at Belk's department store where I tried it both on the blotter and skin tested.
It opens very citrus fruity, I could envision peeling the mandarin cuties ( I correctly guessed mandarin ! )the bergamot is more a citrus uplift rather than star here. The apricot nectar sweetens Night up ( slight thought to Tang orange beverage).
The florals blend in but didn't overwhelm ,the base almost seemed Chypreish. This was rather surprising with today's typical releases.
Bottle was the typical cylinder but in a glossy black with the " diamond pave" collar.
Me likey. Will buy.
