the bergamot (and maybe grapefruit) in the opening of this is very sharp for me -- bitter and pithy rather than a juicy, vibrant citrus. it's a little too zingy and sharp for my tastes. about an hour or so in it had become a soft, powdery musk -- a more appealing scent to my tastes but not something you couldn't find done better somewhere else. sillage and longevity are not great either. all in all it's a miss for me, but I can see how this fragrance may be attractive to others who enjoy the zingy green at the opening.
Floral (orange blossom and jasmine) citrus (grapefruit) woody (indeterminate, sweet-leaning "woods"), slightly musky (more as fixative).
A bit hairspray on the drydown - but I don't mind.
It's seems safe - as long as your skin cooperates with the woody aromachemical base and the musk fixatives.
Plus it only lasts an hour - which I also don't mind.
An easy meh.

The fragrance starts off with a promising burst of green notes, which unfortunately dissipate within a minute. Soon after, bergamot and citruses dominate the top notes, leading into a rather generic yellow floral scent. It would have been preferable if it had retained the green tea note throughout. As neroli and jasmine emerge, the scent becomes rather ordinary. The initial impression raised my expectations, leaving me hopeful for the brand's potential.
Windows Down by Henry Rose is a bright fresh citric spring floral kind of scent. A name like Windows Down hints at fresh air, light breezy purity and I really don't get that impression here. This is a very light and lively floral bouquet that cuts through the air with grapefruit tartness but maintains its orange blossom, jasmine, broom very round and pretty floral tone throughout the scent. The smell is pleasant and definitely feminine in nature - but it doesn't smell natural to me. Not sure why - maybe its the combinations that don't sing naturally. I think I would naturally try to avoid this aroma. I like light floral or white linen kinds of spring floral scents and I own several, but this fragrance has too much fabric softener fresh laundry for my taste. Sorry but this is a complete miss for me. Glad I ordered a sample first.
