Boss The Scent Magnetic Eau de Parfum for Men

Boss The Scent For Him Magnetic is a masculine unisex fragrance that reminds me of Joop All About Eve, which I genuinely loved, even though it’s a feminine scent. If this house had thought more seriously about how to create Boss The Scent For Him Elixir, they should have taken this exact version and amplified it, structured it to be a bit rounder, instead of going in the direction of yet another Invictus clone.

I have to admit that this fragrance really suits me, I even find myself craving it; the only issue is that it floats so heavily in the unisex territory that I find it a bit hard to pull off. As much as I like it, it doesn’t quite sit right on me. I’d wear it more privately, for myself, or in very close company.

What’s very interesting is that Boss The Scent For Him Magnetic stays true to the line and to market trends, stylistically it fits the times very well, yet it still manages to have its own character. It’s not another Invictus, and it’s not another Sauvage. Sweet, fruity, slightly dry-powdery and balsamic, and unmistakably unisex.

Conclusion: a modern unisex fragrance that satisfies the masses; it’s market- and marketing-friendly, doesn’t set new directions, but still manages to create a subtle departure from other offerings in this scent profile, which are far more similar to one another. Definitely worth considering—personally, for me, more for wearing in private. Younger wearers could pull it off outdoors without hesitation: nights out, parties, private gatherings, etc.

A sweeter, modern scent, but is still clean and fresh. Smells similar to other The Scents from Hugo Boss with the Maninka fruit in the opening. The opening is very similar to The Scent Absolute. As it dries down, I start to get a coconut note that I don’t get in Absolute. Absolute stays clean while Magnetic has a coconut-drink vibe. Feels more like a fall/winter frag which is like the other flankers in The Scent line. Not sure having more than one of these is needed, so just pick your favorite.

Performance is solid with good projection and decent longevity, but nothing overly loud or long-lasting.
