What a foul-smelling beast! Acrid, unpleasant overload of Agar wood, no leather or spices to be detected.
This is a simplistic copy of hundreds of other scents out there. I still, decades after it was first introduced,
cannot fathom why any nose in the world finds this odor acceptable or indeed why anyone wants to wear it.
Detestable stench!

Yeah. Smelling my old sample, I misremember this one - perhaps with a more understanding nose now. There is a funkiness to this that overwhelms the good part - FOR ME.

I get all the positive reviews. I get all the negative reviews. In the end, it's what you love or hate, and there's a lot going on here for both.

Farewell to Duro
As our plane safely exits
Bro d’Hermès airspace.

This is the one. Initially I was skeptical about it, but the first blast of scent captivated me immediately. The best way I can describe it is a 19th century medicinal syrup or soda in a bottle, even though I wasn't alive during that time. If it was drinkable, I would drink it. It's stimulating, pleasing and a friend to manhood. This scent does not insinuate any form of femininity. I can't smell the leather note that others were speaking of, however. Perhaps because others impression of leather is different, but I associate it with a distinct scent that I doubt can be exactly replicated by perfumery, although maybe I just haven't encountered it in this craft.

Nevertheless, I recommend it, especially if you want to stand out. I doubt many have experienced such a scent before, so you should have first mover's advantage.

Dark, wet, musty, mossy cedar wood. Dry down has a fair amount of smoke, similar to Pardon.

For what it's worth, my wife said it reminded her of being in the Haunted Mansion or the pre-ride at Tower of Terror at Disney World. That would be the dark musty scent coming through.

Very good performance with plenty of projection on minimal sprays and around 10 hours longevity for me.

Spices, Wood and Leather are the main notes I get in this gem. These three notes will take you, and those around you on a journey of mysteriousness and intrigue. I detect a smokiness or incense in the background of Duro. Great fragrance that is more suited for cooler weather. Warning: Three sprays is all you will need. 8/10

It smells like Dr. Pepper with some woods. Maybe a mixed drink with dr. Pepper and some sort of woody liqueur. It is strong, but in a nice way. Miscellaniously woody with pink pepper sweetness. To me this is about at the border. The sheer strength of the woods though balances this back to being a woody fragrance. Leather is a player, and it is a vaguely smoked background. Id put the woods and pink pepper over the leather in prominence. Good scent. Almost lost its way with the sweetness, but the strong performance keeps it afloat to a medium sized thumbs up.
