Smells nostalgic, weird, yet fun and pleasant. Very artistic, just gorgeous in an oddball way. It reminds me of memories my brain deleted a long time ago, and this had the power to bring them back. I just keep coming back for more, it has a special effect on my brain, the way Serge Lutens MKK had. This is proof what perfumery can be, it can seriously change the way you think about life. Pure art in a bottle.

Fantomas is such a different vibe to what a Niche is smelling nowadays. I think everyone has is a bit wrong due to the reviews.

Let me explain! First I am a Alessandro Gautlieri fan, I followed Nasomatto through the years and love the way it opened a corridor to niche fragrances. To me Fantomas is a melony and rubbery smelling fragrance, but in a good way. It feels so spring and summer and I definitely got a good projection within those times. In the air it is so nice it feels like a summer rain on a concrete that was burning from the high heat while there is a melon stand near that concrete. It feels certainly familiar and due to this familiarity I would give it a thumbs up.

Projection and sillage is moderate, it really shines when I get whiffs out of it. Would give it a 9 for the interpretation of the melon and rubber, I think Nasomatto really stays in the niche realm.

Like many of Gualtieri's creations, I wouldn't want to wear this, but it's a fascinating and intriguing olfactory experience: cold melon, plastic, a metal accord. Nice to have a sample around when I'm in the mood for something different.

This fragrance offers a unique combination of ozonic and melon notes. While it may not be traditionally smoky, it does incorporate facets of rubber smoke, along with a touch of patchouli. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 for its distinctiveness. Despite the unconventional notes, it remains wearable, showcasing a sweet ozonic melon character with underlying hints of caramel. The fragrance delivers good performance, but it may be a touch too sweet for some individuals. Overall, it blends sugary, caramel, and candied tropical fruity notes with minimal earthy or patchouli elements.

Between Duro, Seminalis, something of Blamage and the addition of some sweet-fruity, milky and plasticky notes. It is a perfume that intrigued me but that has not (for now) convinced me to buy it, I did not understand if I like it or not but, in general, if I like a perfume, I like it immediately and this does not made that effect of "I want it".
The odor it emanates is not easily definable, whether it is particular is striking and undeniable, it smells of sweetish at times fruity, milky, musky, plastic (yes, plastic, like when you fold a piece of plastic several times which, when heated, smell of the material it is made of). Gunpowder, smoke and patchouli even with binoculars, I don't know where they heard them but the nose is subjective and can be there.

Odd and maybe even challenging but it's not bad and is definitely unique.

I kept trying to place the familiar smell I get in Fantomas but couldn't place it until I read some of the notes reported, including rubber, plastic, earthy notes and gunpowder. Those I do actually get from Fantomas along with melon, but this is no fruity scent.

It finally hit me what I was reminded of by some of those odd notes, a shipping warehouse full of cardboard boxes in the colder months, which I have access to at my job. The boxes are what I first thought of but I knew it was more than just that. It is the whole combination of industrial and working elements in the building that has a similar smell. Again, this isn't a bad smell but surely it is unique.

The familiar Nasomatto musty-earthiness that I associate with Black Afgano is probably the main note that I get here. It's not near as powerful or room-filling as BA but it has very good performance. The projection is persistent and long-lasting even on minimal sprays.
