Escapade Gourmande
Maison Mataha (2021)

I recently purchased a generous decant sample of Maison Mataha Escapade Gourmande along with Indult Tihota, Giardini Toscana Bianco Latte, Profumum Roma Gioiosa and Liis Choux Choux. I was looking forward to trying this fragrance because someone I admire, who is a vanilla perfume aficionado, suggested Escapade Gourmande might be the warm, enveloping, comforting vanilla-centric fragrance I long for.

So, for my tastes and as vanilla fragrances go, Escapade Gourmande is simply another strong pass in a big sea of vanilla-centric fragrance fails. Similar to how Indult Tihota performed on my skin, this perfume performed as a very weak, intimate, pale vanilla fragrance. Perhaps Escapade throws a slightly sweeter, brief, opening "sugary note" than Tihota. However, despite a generous application, I had to struggle to smell anything on my body/skin.

Zero performance, zero durability, zero silage.

I would never think of purchasing a full bottle. Sadly, the perfume is nondescript.
