A classic beyond classic from the very early 20th century. It contains only one note and it lands on the skin and stays put for a little bit. I use it as a nighttime sleep aid and it works wonders for me. I love it and anyone else that tries this must love the note of Lavender. If you don't then move on to the next one.

Lavanda by Myrurgia is a Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Lavanda was launched in 1916.

Beautiful label with painting of women collecting lavender in the fields.

This is a lavender soliflore scent and it still smells amazing and fresh to my nose.

Lavanda is a popular perfume by Myrurgia. The scent is green-fresh.

Discontinued. Very rare to find.

However, we have a few left at our website https://www.spanishoponline.com/store/c180/Myrurgia.html

We are a small family company based in Madrid and we have some vintage Myrurgia fragrances.

My vintage bottle starts as a soapy, slightly acerbic lavender that smells natural and promises EdC-like brevity. Hours later, it's a deeper, rounder, mossier and sweeter skin scent that makes you forget all about that SOTE you were looking forward to. Ah, the magic of now-restricted ingredients!

Not a sillage monster, which is not a complaint. Not a vanilla lavender, either literally or figuratively.

Mmmm...a family friend used to sport this unisex scent (leaning masculine, IMO) when I was a child. I never had the nerve to ask what he was wearing; while visiting the restroom in his house, I saw the square bottle with gold top and green front sticker which I'd discover many, many years later was "Lavanda de Myrurgia Espana." It has these notes:

Top - bamboo, moss, rosewood
Heart - lavender, labdanum
Base - ebony, tonka bean, cedar wood, musk

As a kid, I loved that fresh woody quality of our friend's cologne; the bamboo note was my first time smelling it, which I have come to love in several recent scents (Romeo Gigli Man, Comme des Garcons Odeur 71, Mat; Very Male, Lucky You for Men, Fujiyama Homme, Eau de Lacoste pour Lui Magnetic, and Byredo Elevator Music are some of the other bamboo note scents that come to mind).

The lavender was something else I had noticed as well. This guy just smelled amazing, and I think his choice of cologne was one of the first seeds of influence for my fragrance hobby decades later!
