I was about to dismiss Ouris as a halva of a perfume, until I realized that's the whole point – this is taking dessert perfumes to the max and cocking a snook at purists. In the main it's a syrupy offering which insists you have fun. The way it does this is by offering a bold honey-vanilla-tonka-almond main theme against which bounce all kinds of frothy notes – coconut and fig handled with any airy touch, light peachy and other fruity accents, even white flowers offered as olfactory bubbles rather than whacks. Its range seems to be giggly girl to sequin-shortage-causing drag queen with interplanetary eyebrows – but I'll wear it gladly too, as it brings a big smile to my face. Ouris is the magical non-fattening sweetie jar, but yes, the drydown, as is often the case in modern perfumery is less engaging, a kind of padded vanilla monochord that is nice enough but nowhere near as fab as the first hour or two.

Ouris is a boozy/fruity semi-gourmand mélange with a floral sophisticated notable spark (a nice lymphatic jasmine) and an almondy boozy/creamy soul. Liquorous, indolic and humid throughout, the Ouris's evolution is shortly performing, the plum/peaches/blackcurrant combo is rampant since the beginning as surrounded by sugary/almondy liqueur (such a Grand Marnier/Baileys type), butter, honey and airy jasmine. The dry down is surprisingly fresh, floral, aromatic and exotic since the boozy/honeyed patterns are controlled and well appointed. There is some aromatic grassiness in the blend but is balanced and well modulated, as linked with wet exotic tonka, fresh floral notes and may be ylang-ylang. Is like to smell a wet tasty jasmine finally turning out in a creamy and soapy cool way. Interesting.
P.S: Creamy fresh, floral but not luxurious (at level) as I dream. Some key words (with all the plain proportions) are: 01 Nomad Odin, Mendittorosa Omega, Black Orchid Tom Ford, Sung by Alfred Sung for women, Diamonds and Sapphires Elisabet Tailor and (vaguely) Ysatis.
