In 1938 Greta Garbo suddenly vanished from Hollywood.  Later the paparazzi discovered her secret hideaway: a stunning villa in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast, overlooking the blue of the Mediterranean, its gardens fragrant with blooming clusters of the famous Ravello Rose.  The divine Garbo shone again all her light, having lived moments of secret happiness with her new lover.  To this tale of love and life we have dedicated Rosa Greta.

If you like soapy rose scents, this is for you. Soap is definitely the dominant note here to my nose. You'll smell like you're living a perpetual shower.

Light-wearing and polite, this is a rose in the personality-sacrificing ‘fresh' mode; what it loses in depth, it tries to make up in pink-skirted friendliness (and, it must be said, persistence – it doesn't stop tickling the nostrils). A light touch of tea at the opening and a puff of some musky diffusive synth-wood at the base top and tail this airbrushed rose. MFK's À la Rose is the epitome of this kind of rose perfume; Rosa Greta, alas, feels like more of the same.
