Right off the top Roses Musk is a very realistic rose hit, the Damascena rose note really does smell like a red rose on a stem, green leaves and all, a vegetal rose. if you have ever smelled a fresh rose in the garden first thing in the morning, dew still on the petals, that first sniff, that's what I am talking about. This is not a synthetic rosewater type rose, more of an olfactory replication of rose on the stem. Very well done. Once this starts to fade a bit, it turns more floral with the geranium and there are a couple of other floral notes in there as well and the fragrance opens up a bit. This floral rose heart section lasts a good while and is the best part of the fragrance. A very rich floral rose experience. This fades in about 2-3 hours to a more regulation sandalwood musk dry down. With 2-3 sprays, which is what I was using while testing, projection is good but not Montale Black Aoud type beast mode or anything like that. Longevity on my skin also was around the 5-7 hour mark.
If you are a guy who likes rose, you could carry this off but somehow I think this would be gorgeous on a woman, formally dressed, out for the evening. This is most definitely not a T shirt and Jeans frag, for Men or Women. This is one of those fragrances that I can totally appreciate from an artistic perspective but somehow dont see myself wearing. I gave the remainder of my sample to my Mum and she wore it for a function paired with a silk sari and it was just beautiful on her and got quite a few compliments so my hunch was proven right. This one is slanted more for the ladies. So Guys, if looking to pick up something for any of the women in your life, do check this out.

PANAH LONDON
Notes : Damascena Rose, Geranium, Sandalwood, White Musk.

•Personal Interpretation :
This definitely has a sophisticated aura and the smell captivates you. This is perfumery done in true european style not something that will please the heavy hitters, this smells very sensual in the air. The composition if sniffed up close can smell a bit feminine. To me its subjective, if you have the personality and confidence of an alpha male you will be able to carry this and rock this with charm. This portrays a very different picture than the notes presented in the pyramid. Definitely a crowd pleaser and i would love to smell this on a woman too, i don't know why but this smells too romantic and sensual and i am dead honest about this.

Important notes :
This plays with some important notes i will try and break down each one of them as the notes mentioned and actual blend might present two different stories. Connecting both is necessary.
So this uses 'Damascena Rose' also known as Rose Castile, its a hybrid obtained from two different kinds of roses and its 'pink' in color. Which is quite different from the normal variant such as - Indian, Bulgarian, Turkish, etc roses used in perfumery. This also smells a bit different than the above mentioned variants of rose - This definitely is a very subdued rose smell with no sharpness, its fresh, clean and a bit powdery, it perfectly captures the color 'pink'. Damascena rose is generally used in floral blends which are marketed towards unisex or women.

Geranium: Whenever there is a Rose blend specially in a floral composition you will mostly find geranium too. This perfectly supports the note of rose as one of its variant is supposed to mimic the smell of rose. Geranium plays a vital role in creating a sense of fullness and richness to the note of 'rose'.

Notes progression :
This opens up with a soft rose and a faint clean white musk at top. Then i can smell some light florals climbing up to the top, though 'lily of the valley' is not mentioned as a note i smell it very prominently.

Slowly the rose starts blooming too and that romantic pink Damascena Rose starts becoming more prominent and the composition smells a touch soapy too.
It reminds me of a very expensive Pink rose soap. There is some creaminess too, it can be sandalwood but i can't be sure as its not prominent at all. You just feel it being present there but no traces of it can be found.

In the dry-down it settles into a clean musky rose with some florals and from this point it stays the same throughout.

*Don't start judging it straight after the first spray give it about 10 mins and let it reach you, let it sync with your senses and you will get i am talking.

Performance:

* One thing that stands out in this perfume is the silage it leaves behind. It leaves a very strong scent trail, though the composition doesn't have loud projection, still people are gonna smell you as it lingers around in the air.
* Projection : very much calm not a heavy hitter stays close to skin after 2 hours but people are gonna smell you and compliment you, though it might fade to your own nose after few hours of application. This is almost like a fragrant second skin.
* Longevity : in two applications i constantly got 5-6 hours. this is one area, where i think an improvement can be made.

Conclusion :
In my opinion its a decent composition for a new house, it has its own positives and doesn't smell cheap at all. The unisex element gives it more flexibility. It perfectly captures a sensual and romantic aura in a metrosexual way. My main concern is value for money but if you can afford it, well go ahead. I wanna test this on a girl too so that i can enjoy those pleasant whiffs!

Thankyou for reading, have good day everyone.

The rose note is really hard for me to like/love in almost every fragrance except probably this one.
I really enjoyed wearing this.

The opening is nice, presents a freshly bloomed damp rose in the morning and a touch of sandalwood makes it very interesting. I get some floral undertones after a while that are so subtle but keep it alive for hour upon hour and ends with a nice musky dry down like other Panah fragrances. Very classy, fresh yet dense. You can wear it anytime as it's not too heavy as compared to other Rose based fragrances.

Heartily recommended for the lovely ladies.

Finally had a chance to get hold of this fragrance from Panah. I initial blast is of breathtakingly beautiful rose. Not too sweet or jammy like the ones found in Armani Rose d' Arabie.

Rose is very classy and most importantly the trail in the form of sillage is just wonderul. I wore it at work and had curious people asking me what I am wearing.

Definately a compliment getter and going to be top in my arsenal.
