I recently sung the praises of ELDO Une Amourette Roland Mouret Roland Mouret and Daniela Andrier's ingenious use of Akigalawood. It's a material that can be quite evocative and dynamic, incorporating woody qualities heretofore unavailable in perfume. However, in the Hedonist, Jordi Fernández doesn't build the same powerful narrative here. The Akigalawood is boosted with a ton of anosmia-inducing Iso E Super and left suspended in between a so-so bergamot, a diaphanous ginger, and a forgettable cedar-vetiver heart and musky nothing dry down.

It lacks a soul.

To me, this is a combination of LV L'Immensite and Bvlgari Tygar. The dry down with Hedonist is smoother and creamier than both.
A versatile scent leaning masculine that can be worn year round.
May shine in the warmer months. Nothing crazy original but since I enjoy the two fragrances above, I like this one.
